Smart Waste Collection

The waste collection routes will be optimized employing a special application. Due to the sensors located directly in the waste containers, which will be linked online with the application, the application can intelligently plan the collection route.

Project

As part of a twelve-month pilot project, 420 sensors were installed into underground waste containers (e.g. glass, plastic and other typec of recyclable waste). After the pilot ended, the project went into routine operation. After that, many more sensors were installed into underground and above ground containers with buttom dump. Today there are more then 7000 sensors installed.
