Data depicting city life are the basic cornerstone of the Smart City concept. Data generation, collection, evaluation, administration and visualisation play a key role in the effective management of a modern city. The data platform reflects the historical and current status of the city and integrates gradually data sources via its interfaces (including the emerging sensor network of smart equipment like benches, waste containers and street lights).
The platform enables the connection of city apps and data and can work with large volumes of data. It also supports work with data that until now has been largely neglected due to various technical or legal limitations.
One of the goals of the data platform is to have an open infrastructure that provides predefined public data and enables these data to be freely combined so that the city gains economically, strategically and conceptually.
