The judges of the E.ON Energy Globe competition nominated the Smart Prague project "Complex Energy Ecosystem in Prague" for a wild card in the energy saving category. The votes of the public will decide whether the Smart Prague project will be among the finalists of the competition. You can vote for a wild card until June 30, 2022.
The project "Complex Energy Ecosystem in Prague" deals with the use of data and automatic analytical tools for competent decision-making on energy savings. Dozens of sensors were placed in selected buildings owned by the city to measure the indoor environment. This, together with data collected from energy and water consumption meters, made it possible to compile a unique online database, which thus became an essential part of the energy ecosystem. It stores detailed information about objects and their energy and water consumption. An analytical tool was then created above the database, which is capable of automatically evaluating buildings in terms of suitable energy-saving measures. Thanks to this, there is room for further energy savings and the system has already helped to reduce CO2 emissions of some city buildings by around 19%, the energy saving is around 13%.
The winner of the wild card will advance directly to the grand final and complete the five projects selected by the expert jury. Voting is available on the competition website: www.eon.cz/energy-globe/#hlasovani. And beware, there is a reward waiting for one lucky voter.
